If you’ve never done a wine tasting, never seen a winery and love fruity wines, I’d recommend buying a tasting (no lunch). We skipped the vineyard tour we’d paid for to attempt to salvage our day. The wines are all quite sweet or sour – not fine wine. The box lunch was a slice of thin turkey on a stale bun and a “mini” cheese platter that was a slice of cheese (good, though) sprinkled with a few Craisins. The person “forgot” who we were and almost didn’t honor the lunch coupons she’d given us. We had to wait in line at the tasting bar again to request our box lunches. Once we waited our turn to ask how we could get started (we had a reservation), the person snapped at us and asked us to wait longer to check in. Everyone who appeared to work at the winery was super busy with tastings. It started with no one to welcome you or explain how the tastings or the experience worked. However, I cannot recommend the full-tour experience ($99) we bought and (almost) had. I recommend going to the winery to buy a few bottles of fruity (not fine) wine. We will for sure go back- even if it is 90 minutes. They offer cheese plates, and lunch (if you call 24 hours ahead). While we were there the sun came out and we sat outside for 3 hours snacking on the veggies and crackers we brought. A three tiered yard offered sun and shade with a view of vineyards and the mountains to the West. We sat outside and ate our lunch and drank our wine. This winery was excellent the wine was delicious and they gave us lunch which was also really good.

These were full of flavor and there were dry as well as sweet. The wines are not your typical even for fruit wines.
The two women working the tastings were not only friendly but knowledgeable and they were great to talk to. Upon arrival we were greeted and offered some asparagus soup ( we had just finished breakfast or we would have accepted). Some people may dismiss this winery because it specializes in fruit wines, but that would be a big mistake! Took a 90 minute ride on a cloudy Sunday to try the offerings here and found a beautiful place with some great wines.
